Cyclones are road favorites?!?

Apparently 17 straight losses on opponents’ home field hasn’t deterred oddsmakers from considering Iowa State the favorite to win Saturday night’s game at Kent State.

The Cyclones are 3-point favorites as of this morning.

“How bout that?” Coach Paul Rhoads responded Tuesday night when told of that fact. “We’ll take it.”

When the last time ISU has been a road favorite? It’s been quite a while.

With Kent State’s quarterback situation unresolved — to say the least — and top tailback Eugene Jarvis out for the year now, the Golden Flashes are ripe for the picking.

One Response to “Cyclones are road favorites?!?”

  1. Tim Says:

I don’t have the best memory for details, but it seems like it has been common over the past 2-3 years to have opponents lose a starter either before or during a game, and then have their back-up come in and light up the Cyclones. I wish I could feel better about this game. I think the worst part is that even an easy win still won’t impress anyone.
