Offense strikes quickly

Iowa State took the ball first and drove 81 yards in nine plays for a 7-0 lead over North Dakota State.

Quarterback Austen Arnaud looked sharp both running and passing. He completed passes to tailback Alexander Robinson and a big third-down pass for 16 yards to tight end Collin Franklin.

Arnaud had 27 rushing yards on the drive, but his handoff to Robinson provided the score from 18 yards out.

The Cyclone defense took the field and promptly forced a three-and-out.

This crowd — and it looks like a sizable one — is going nuts.
